Przedmiotem pracy jest logika kombinatoryczna, gałąź logiki ufundowana przez tak ich autorów, jak Schönfinkel i Curry, której najbardziej znaczącą cechą jest tworzenie języków formalnych pozbawionych zmiennych. U pierwszym rzędzie przedstawia się pojęcia bazowe tego przedsięwzięcia, tj. teorię kombinatorów i teorię funkcjonalności. Podejmując i kontynuując rezultaty, jakie osiągnął Curry, autor poddaje analizie sposób, w jaki można otrzymać zupełny zbiór aksjomatów dla rachunku zdaniowego intuicjonistycznego, wychodząc od utworzenia zupełnego zbioru kombinatorów pierwotnych.

Cet article traite des analyses proposées par Karl Marx et par Friedrich Engels sur le mouvement des salaires dans la dynamique du capitalisme, et sur la question de la « paupérisation » des travailleurs, en particulier entre les années 1840 et les années 1860. An examination of the fundamental role cybernetics played in the birth of cognitive science and the light this sheds on current controversies. The conceptual history of cognitive science remains for the most part unwritten. In this groundbreaking book, Jean-Pierre Dupuy—one of the principal architects of cognitive science in France—provides an important chapter: the legacy of cybernetics. Contrary to popular belief, Dupuy argues, cybernetics represented not the anthropomorphization of the machine but the mechanization of the human. The founding fathers (...) of cybernetics—some of the greatest minds of the twentieth century, including John von Neumann, Norbert Wiener, Warren McCulloch, and Walter Pitts—intended to construct a materialist and mechanistic science of mental behavior that would make it possible at last to resolve the ancient philosophical problem of mind and matter. In Laudato Si, Pope Francis calls for a theology respectful of creation. I here suggest that balancing Karl Rahner’s theology of creation with his sacramental theology brings us closer to providing such a theology. Rahner’s sacramental theology fittingly complements his theology of the incarnation, by highlighting the significance of the redemption of creation accomplished in Christ. Matter and nature are redeemed and must now be listened to because they also have been made to bespeak of the divine re-creative power. Revealing (...) life to be a gift and consecrating all natural beings as creatures endowed with a purpose, the Eucharist leads those taking part in it to perceive in nature a sacrament of God’s love. In the Eucharistic liturgy, they celebrate and reconnect with (their own) nature, which is healed and transformed to become an instrument for God. (shrink)

Résumé L’article propose une analyse du phénomène de mobilisation des Lumières, c’est-à-dire de la réactivation récurrente de leurs notions (liberté, tolérance, progrès …) dans des moments d’affrontements idéologiques depuis le début du XXe siècle. L’étude s’appuie notamment sur les traductions de l’Esquisse d’un tableau historique des progrès de l’esprit humain de Condorcet (1795) dans le monde. Mais elle propose aussi l’analyse d’autres modes de convocation des idéaux des Lumières, par exemple dans le contexte d’actes terroristes qui visent précisément les valeurs (...) associées à la philosophie du XVIIIe siècle. En examinant la force mobilisatrice du « siècle de Voltaire » lors de crises aiguës, la présente contribution distingue et définit plusieurs formes de ces mobilisations. (shrink)

In “The Angel in the Machine” I argue that the substantial concept of mind is heir to a number of consequences not previously appreciated, included among which (but not limited to) are both Solipsism and Atheism. In addition, I suggest that the difficulties I indicate were to some extent already understood by Aristotle who seems to have laid the foundation for two concepts of mind, one associated with human beings, the other with Angels. His distinction is recalled in the Middle (...) Ages, but seems finally to be lost in Descartes who appears to have linked the angel mind-concept to human beings and dispensed entirely with the concept that Aristotle originally reserved for the human. C’est à une exploration de cette notion de forme que le Collège de France a consacré en octobre 2011 son colloque multidisciplinaire de rentrée : sa définition en philosophie chez Platon et Aristote, ses applications en mathématiques et en astrophysique, en chimie et en biologie, ses conséquences en psychologie et en linguistique, en anthropologie, en droit et dans les arts. Ces débats ont été aussi l’occasion de se tourner vers des pensées où elle joue un rôle particulièrement important, comme le structuralisme de Claude Lévi-Strauss ou l’histoire de l’art d’André Chastel. Jean-Pierre Changeux est professeur honoraire au Collège de France, chaire de Communications cellulaires.
